All this information was saved on our new portal: bioexplorador (http://bioexplorador.inbio.ac.cr/), where around 300 new observations where published from 100 new users of this interactive tool.

One of the participants surprised even our expert ornithologists when he took a picture of a peculiar bird in our premises, it was a long-tailed manakin (Chiroxiphia linearis), a bird that is usually found only on the dry forest.  Another new species for our park was registered in one of the fungi tours, it belongs to the Hygroaster genus, and it could even be a new register for the country.

We would like to thank all the media and sponsors: Panasonic, AyA, ICT, ICEKolbi, Thrifty, EPA, Reserva Conchal, Hacienda Pinilla,  y CNFL, who truly believed in this, our first edition of Bioblitz, and we hope to see you next year, when experts and citizens will join again to enjoy and learn from each other.
