  • Strengthen MINAE’s capacity to advise and supervise ex situ facilities.
  • Strengthen the participation of the academic and private sectors in ex situ conservation activities.
  • Establish policies, legislation and strategies for ex situ conservation.
  • Training in ex situ conservation techniques.
  • Feasibility study and subsequent development of a national center for research, training and transfer of technology in ex situ conservation, with outreach in the Central American region.
