Dear Fellow Dipterists

On behalf of the Council for International Congresses of Dipterology I wish to warmly encourage you to attend the 7^th International Congress of Dipterology (ICD7) that will take place in San José, Costa Rica from Sunday 8^th to Friday 13^th of August 2010.

Being the first Congress in Latin America, this Congress will be of special significance. It will reveal the rapid growth of Dipterology in the region and help accelerate collaboration of Latin American colleagues with their peers elsewhere. The broad range of expertise of the organising committee, charied by Manuel Zumbado, guarantees that the Congress will provide a balanced overview of scientific and technical advances from all over the world. The Congress venue is an international congress centre that will provide an appropriate and relaxed setting, with up-to-date technical facilities.

ICD7 2010 is less than one year away, when dipterists from all over the world will convene in Costa Rica. I envisage ICD7 to be a great success and look forward to meeting you and your colleagues in San José.
