Dr. Gosliner has worked as Curator at the South African Museum
and as a professor at the universities of San Francisco State and
Stanford. He has published more than 100 scientific articles and
is the author of two identification guides of nudibranchs and other
marine invertebrates. His main interest is the evolutionary history
of the gastropod mollusks, particularly those of the Opisthobranchia
subclass. He has done fieldwork mainly in South Africa, Papua New
Guinea, the Philippines, Costa Rica, Galápagos, Hawaii islands,
Azores Islands and the Pacific and Atlantic coasts of the United
States.
