Quick identification
Monotomidae resemble some Nitidulidae but have only 10-segmented antennae with a 1- or 2-segmented club. The genus Thione (last figure) is very unusual, with an enlarged head and prothorax - they inhabit the gallereies of other wood-boring beetles.
