Objectives of the Project
1) Determine the diversity
and geographic distribution of Culicidae species in Costa Rica.
2) Determine the microhabitats
of larval stages.
3) Develop a slide-mounted
collection of immature stages (larvae and pupae), and a pin-mounted
collection of adults.
4) Spread biological and taxonomic
knowledge of these insects throughout scientific and technical
publications, and electronic documents (UBIs and others).
