Recording of information

Information in the field notebook must be transcribed to the lab notebook. When obtaining pupae and their larval exuviae, the collecting numbers and the rearing numbers must be recorded in the lab notebook, as well as the dates of pupa formation and adult hatching. Our collecting, rearing and mounting data are digitized in a File Maker Pro database. In this database, we also digitized the voucher number, data of the collecting site (political divisions, geographic coordinates and elevation), genus and species of the specimen, number of individuals and sex, dates of pupa formation and hatching, number of larval and pupal exuviae mounted, number of larvae and adults mounted, and other relevant information related to collecting, rearing and mounting.
