Moving of larvae and pupae to the lab
In the field, collected larvae and pupae are put into plastic
containers or into Whirl-Pak bags together with organic matter
from their habitat.
In costal areas it is frequently that larvae and pupae placed
into bags or collecting containers, die due to high temperatures.
This mortality could be reduced by placing the samples into a
portable cooler which could keep a temperature of 25 °C by
putting a bag with cold water ahead of time.
